Lizard Island Reef Research Foundation (LIRRF) supports scientific research and education at the Australian Museum's Lizard Island Research Station (LIRS). LIRS is widely acknowledged as the world's best coral reef field research station. Scientists come to LIRS from all over the world and the research output is equivalent to that of a medium-sized university school.
