Australian Association for Environmental Education

Australian Association for Environmental Education

Australian Association for Environmental Education (AAEE) is Australia's peak body for professional and volunteer environmental educators. Their mission is to celebrate and amplify environmental education in all its many forms and practices, and to support environmental educators across sectors by building networks, resources, and skills. They do this by providing a collaborative and supportive network for the growing force of cross-sector environmental educators across all our states and territories.

Big Blue Ocean Foundation supports AAEE by contributing funding to an exciting new project called ‘Voices of the Waters’, which will amplify one of AAEE’s most prominent initiatives, SeaWeek.  Each year, SeaWeek, a national educational campaign about our oceans, offers a fantastic platform to raise community awareness, provide information and resources, and encourage an appreciation of the sea. The ‘Voices of the Waters’ project will build on SeaWeek by including rivers and waterways, thus building a national awareness of the interconnectedness and importance of all Australian waters. To learn more about the important work they are doing, visit their website below.
